BACK in the 1950s there was a comedian called Jimmy Edwards, who played an amusing schoolmaster with the catchphrase: "Wake up at the back there!"

If Jimmy were around today, it would be more a case of "Wake up at the wheel there!" A recent survey has found one in 10 people who drive for work have admitted falling asleep at the wheel in the past year.
