RESIDENTS can get an insight into the work of a North East crematorium at a special open day.

The event, on July 2, is taking place to mark the 50th anniversary of South Shields Crematorium, on John Reid Road. South Tyneside Council is giving people a chance to learn more about the building and how it serves the community.
