I'M venting my spleen about the article saying that council tenants should pay so much to have their kitchens done up. I'm very disgusted because I don't think council tenants should have to pay to have their properties upgraded.

To say that council tenants all buy plasma screen tellies and go on foreign holidays is absolutely not true. We're not all on benefits, in fact, a lot of us council tenants work very hard. We work very long hours and, actually, the rent we pay is all collected and goes towards upgrading properties and giving us new kitchens and bathrooms, so we indirectly do pay for our repairs.
