CONCERNS about injuries at a secure unit where a teenage inmate died have been raised with the area's MP. Adam Rickwood, 14, became the youngest person to die in custody in modern times following an incident at the Hassockfield Secure Training Unit (STC).
The institution is in MP Pat Glass' North West Durham constituency. Mrs Glass has told how the Howard League for Penal Reform wrote to her last October calling for a review of Hassockfield after it discovered 21 children had been injured there between June 2009 and May last year.See the full content of this document
