People with a head for heights and a love of the country are being sought by a cancer charity.
Marie Curie Cancer Care wants people to step forward to take part in two fundraising events next month. On Sunday, October 10, there is a abseil from the Tyne Bridge. People taking up the challenge must be aged over 17 and commit to raise more than pounds 75 in sponsorship. The Devoted to Life Walk takes place in the historic grounds of Gibside, in Gateshead, on Sunday, October 17.
