Summary
In the light of the turbulence in world oil markets, the time would seem right to follow the lead of some other countries to encourage the use of bio-ethanol, made from cane sugar, as an alternative to petrol and diesel.
In Brazil, diesel cars are already banned from city streets in San Paulo, 40 per cent of all fuel is obtained from cane sugar, and it is reported petrol will soon be replaced altogether.See the full content of this document
