MAY I through the columns of your Letters page, thank all the members of the recently formed Ashington ME Friendship Group who are working very hard at present to form this new group.
We are seeking new members with the intentions of helping the many people from this area who are suffering from ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalopathy/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) is an illness which is known to affect 12,000 people in our region, 25% of these are severely affected and many are housebound for long periods, according to the figures based on the Department of Health prevalence rates.See the full content of this document
