Summary
The seasonal flu campaign in England launched last year by the Department of Health has achieved one of the highest uptake rates in the 65 and over age group in Europe.
Figures from the flu vaccination programme showed 74% of those aged 65 and over received a flu jab by the end of January and 42% of those under 65 in at-risk groups were vaccinated. In 2006/07, 6.2 million people in the 65 and over group were vaccinated against flu.See the full content of this document
