Summary


TEENAGER Liam Scarth is putting his academic and acting careers on hold to help under-privileged children in Uganda.

Liam, from Stocksfield, has raised pounds 5,000 through his own efforts and signed up with a charity trust to go to the impoverished East African nation. As well as teaching children and helping with farming work, he will help towards the building of a new school in the village of Kabale in the south of the country.
