SAFE Newcastle would like to herald Alcohol Awareness Week 2011 and highlight work to reduce the harm caused by alcohol to individuals and their families in the city. Alcohol Awareness Week is particularly important as its main focus is young people, preventing the negative impact alcohol can have on their lives. If we can encourage a responsible attitude towards alcohol in them now this will hopefully be carried through to their adult life.
