Summary
New melons which are smaller in size but just as sweet in flavour as traditional melons, hit Sainsbury's this spring.
They will be the smallest melons ever sold in the store and the first to hit UK shelves on 10 May. The Galia, Cantaloupe and Charentais melons come from the Almerian region of Spain where a new growing method exclusive to this region is used. The melons are grown on vines in a glasshouse to ensure a warm growing temperature which means the melons reach their flavour maturity at a smaller size.See the full content of this document
