Summary
Cricket: Simon Jones will fly out to England's tour of the Caribbean eager to impress after his fears about a shin injury were cleared to give him the go-ahead to resume his international career. Glamorgan fast bowler Jones' participation in England's first tour of the West Indies in six years has been in doubt since he returned from the A tour to India with a sore left shin. But after a second scan gave him the all-clear yesterday, he is now free to plan for his first senior tour and will fly out to join England at their Kingston base on Monday and team up with Durham's Steve Harmison, Andrew Flintoff and James Anderson for the first time in an exciting new attack and challenge for the first Test line-up at Sabina Park on March 11.
