SHOPPERS were referred for further medical attention after they were tested for signs of a killer lung disease.
Four people were advised to go and see a doctor for further tests after the event, organised by nurses from South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust. The nurses, from the Acute Respiratory Assessment Service (ARAS) based at South Tyneside District Hospital, were offering the free lung function tests at Asda in South Shields to raise awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).See the full content of this document
