Summary

THE CHRISTMAS TREE Christmas fast approaching Time to sort out the tree Baubles and tinsel Where will the lights be? Children all excited Giving mum and dad a hand Decorating the tree To make it look so grand There are snowmen and Santas Candy canes too On the top sits an angel There to welcome you Tinsel hangs from branches The Christmas lights glow Sprinkled round the base There is imitation snow Streamers on the ceiling Round the walls to Children writing Christmas cards For all their friends at school The house is now ready Full of Christmas cheer To welcome friends and neighbours And those we hold so dear.

A CLIFFORD, THE FALLING SNOW The falling snow So soft and silent Then the next minute Its gone as if It never happened Another dimension This mild winter Proceeds to gather Memories of a new Born birth Get on the camel Get to the destination Travel safe and not In a rush see the miracle Of life this one time Journey can cut like A knife To bring joy and humble Admiration to look back At what we have become And done The falling snow is Somewhere out there And on calendars and Postcards the Planet Is still spinning Hip-Hip - Hooray KENNETH MOOD, Swalwell.
