KEVIN NOLAN has insisted he will make an emotional return to the Reebok Stadium as a "better player" as he lines up against the team he made his name with in Bolton Wanderers. There's no doubt that the Scouser is still rightly classed as a Bolton legend after helping drag the team from the Championship and into Europe as Wanderers fans went from Grimsby to Bayern Munich.

Nolan admits it will be a rollercoaster of emotions but insists he has "no regrets" at quitting Wanderers for United, despite an unwanted plunge into the second tier just months after arriving on Tyneside. Nolan told the Chronicle in a straight-from-the-heart interview: It was a fantastic move for me, and I was delighted when I made it.
