POLICE have arrested a man after three robberies in Newcastle. The first took place at 4.20am on Monday, when a 21-year-old woman was approached by a man at Vallum Court, off Westgate Road, who pushed her to the ground and made off with her handbag.
The second happened at around 6am yesterday, in Clayton Street in the city centre, when a man who was thought to be holding a small knife stopped a 26-year-old woman in the street and demanded she hand over money.
