NORTHUMBERLAND fought back superbly on the second day to take control of their Minor Counties Championship game against their neighbours Cumberland at Jesmond.
Phil Nicholson's side was eventually dismissed for 318 as former Durham batsman Gary Scott remained unbeaten on 176 - his highest score for the county.
