IN yesterday's Chronicle we accurately reported a court case in which Ian Hamilton was given a suspended sentence after threatening a pensioner with a baton outside a social club.
During the hearing at Newcastle Crown Court it was said Hamilton, 42, of Hallow Drive, Throckley, returned to the Union Jack Club in the village with the weapon after hearing a perceived slight on his girlfriend.See the full content of this document
