A LEADING head has spoken of the challenges our schools face over the next academic year.
David Pearmain, head at Newcastle's Kenton School, said the looming general election goes hand-in-hand with new education policies, initiatives and announcements. Mr Pearmain is also the chairman of SCHOOLS North East - a network of secondary, primary, independent and special schools across the region -and it was their first summit yesterday. He said whether Gordon Brown remains in power, or David Cameron moves into Number 10, the 2009/10 school year will be a busy one for headteachers.See the full content of this document
