Recently there have been mocking portrayals of the crucifixion. I refer to Madonna and Wayne Rooney.
The cross and crucifixion of Jesus is a stain on this world's history and an injustice that has never been reversed. Of course it will be, in God's own time. The cross was also where the whole issue of sin and sinners was dealt with judicially in the death of the sinless sufferer. The public execution of judgement has yet to be fulfilled ( the wrath to come. We need to remember God is not mocked. He sees the mockery against His Beloved Son. If we choose to slight the cross and what it represents, and, worse still mock and vilify the Holy Sufferer, what remains for us? God has the last word.See the full content of this document
