Summary
ACOUSTIC-soul, soul-folk and several other pithy tags have been tried in an attempt to capture the sound of Amos Lee, guest (with his band) of the Jumpin' Hot Club at All Saints church,Newcastle tomorrow night.
He sings effortlessly and plays acoustic guitar, as he did on his last visit to the city, but he will have his three-piece band to fill-out the sound this time. Lee says: "My favourite time in music is probably 1970-7. Still Bill by Bill Withers, Harvest by Neil Young, John Prine's first album, James Taylor's One Man Dog - I hope I can bring the same sort of spirit I hear on those records."
