FOUR men who botched a gangland shooting have lost an appeal against their sentence. Steven Peter Blackburn, 26, James Johnson, 29, Thomas William Dalton, 28, and Samuel Dean Hill, 26, were convicted in October last year in Newcastle Crown Court of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
London's Court of Appeal, held at the Royal Courts of Justice, heard the victim of the shooting John Ormston, a doorman and former boxer, was shot twice with a doublebarrelled shotgun in April 2005 when he was wrongly suspected to be a police informant.See the full content of this document
