I WAS staying with my aunt and uncle on Buddle Road in 1959 when I was four.

My aunt gave my cousin four pennies to go to the shop. I persuaded her to buy sherbet for us. When my uncle found out we had spent the Chron pennies on sweets he was not amused. I have never missed the Chron since.
