Pathologist, Dr Christopher Wright, said: "The viral infection in the lungs may not necessarily cause a normal fever and it's difficult to say when it started and when it would actually show up.

"It's likely that the underlying viral condition caused the, usually normal, virus to take hold so quickly." Recording a verdict of natural causes, the deputy assistant coroner for the city, Karen Dilks, said: "It's clear that this was a condition that had been identified early in Ved's life, although very rare. It seems appropriate to record the death was a result of natural causes."
