ANDREW McNAMARA is poised to claim the ride aboard Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle second favourite Osana after putting the 2008 runner- up through his paces at David Pipe's yard this week. Owner Thomas Barr used Pipe's stable jockey Tom Scudamore at the Cheltenham Festival last year when the partnership came second, before again filling the runner-up berth at Aintree.
Paddy Brennan then steered the seven-year-old on his seasonal bow at Sandown last month, but Irishman McNamara (left), stable jockey to Edward O'Grady, is now in the frame for the ride.See the full content of this document
