THE Sunshine Fund has helped a little girl stay in her home with her family.
The charity paid for specialist equipment to make life easier for five-year-old Aoife Wallace and parents Andrew Wallace and Sharon Courtney. A grant of pounds 10,000 has helped towards a hoist and ramp in Aoife's new groundfloor bedroom. It means her parents can continue to care for her and keeps the family, from Coquet Terrace, Heaton, together. Aoife, who goes to Northern Counties School in Jesmond, Newcastle, suffers from Cerebral Palsy and needs 24-hour care.See the full content of this document
