Wildlife lovers are being encouraged to put on their walking boots and help raise cash for an endangered animal.
Every year the Worldwide Fund for Nature organises a sponsored walk to raise money to save an endangered species. This year they are supporting Snow Leopards, with one of the walks taking place in Holywell Dene, North Tyneside. An estimated 300 to 500 of the big cats are believed to still be living in Nepal, and their fur and bones have become prized on the black market.See the full content of this document
