There are four spires rather than twin towers. A service lift, instead of 39 famous steps, is on hand to transport dignitaries up from pitch-level to the equivalent of the Royal Box. And the tunnel is on the half-way line, not behind the goal.

But, on the site of the much-loved Arms Park, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium is a venue fit for the kings of English football as well as the legends of Welsh rugby and the men now leading the Principality's renaissance in the oval-ball game.
