ARCHITECTS from Newcastle have traded their pencils for power tools to build an outdoor theatre in a deprived South African village.
Ryder Architecture, based at Trafalgar Street in the city centre, have sent a team of staff to the Eastern Cape province to begin the construction at a village school in the Tyhume Valley. Villagers will be working alongside Ryder to build The Roundhouse, a roofed amphitheatre, which is expected to take at least six months to complete.See the full content of this document
