Giving Health the Brush-Up

CHILDREN have brushed up on their dental health with a series of events in special schools in Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. The roadshows - at Dryden and The Cedars, in Gateshead, Oakleigh Gardens in Cleadon, Greenfields in Hebburn, Sunningdale in Sunderland and Columbia Grange in Washington - were run by South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust's oral health promotion team.

Manager Joanne Purvis said: "Our roadshows aimed to address inequalities in dental health for children with special needs, who can have particular problems with their teeth, and I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part.
