In February last year, shy Suzanne Patterson, of Cramlington, Northumberland, was left stagestruck when boyfriend Darren Cook proposed at a packed theatre. Darren seized the moment on stage and popped the question at the Tyne Theatre, Newcastle, where his girlfriend thought they were just part of the crowd at soul singer Alexander O'Neal's gig. In June, Jamie Wood walked to the end of the earth to propose to his girlfriend.
