Summary


Almost half, 45% of the British population don't know how much a litre of fuel costs ( despite the fact that the average driver spends more than pounds 700 on petrol while traveling an average of 9,000 miles a year and topping their tanks up every week.

New research by AA Personal Loans reveals that the average Briton believes petrol costs pounds 1.06 per litre ( as much as 17% more than the actual cost.
