Summary
Five days and only 20 medals, as I write, for Great Britain. The answer's simple folks...roadworks as an Olympic sport.
Picture it, teams of road diggers competing in the blistering Greek sun. Surely Gateshead and Newcastle Councils would clean up ( especially those who've taken up permanent residence on Whickham Highway. I travel from Stanley to Byker every morning, and count 12 sets of roadworks. The situation at the Redheugh Bridge (left) doesn't help either.See the full content of this document
