A VILLAGE has been stunned by the death of a 33-year-old man after he bravely underwent a double transplant operation in the hope of a better life.
Derek Wandless, of Barras Avenue, Annitsford, near Cramlington, was a diabetic from the age of seven and was dogged by eye problems in his 20s which required surgery. He lost the sight in his right eye and was partially-sighted in his left.See the full content of this document
