ARMSTRONG (North Shields). At home with her family, on 3rd October 2009, after an illness bravely and graciously borne, Jennie (nee Atkin), aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Matthew Leonard, greatly loved mother of Jennifer and Diane, much loved nanna of David, dearly loved sister, sister in law and auntie. Funeral Service to be held at Hawkey's Lane Methodist Church, North Shields at 2.00pm on Wednesday 14th October, followed by interment at Preston Cemetery. Flowers or if desired donations may be given to Marie Curie, a collection box for donations will be made available at the church. She was a kind and loving lady and her memory will live with us each day.

BAILEY (Winlaton). Peacefully in hospital on 7th October 2009, aged 88 years, James, beloved husband of the late Edna May. Loved dad of Colin and Ron, father in law of Gloria, Anne and Irene, much loved grandad and great grandad. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Winlaton on Wednesday 14th October at 2.00pm, followed by cremation at West Road Crematorium. Family flowers only please.
