BLYTH Royal Tavern reached the final of the JD Marnock Cup when they beat Whitley Bay Venture 6-1. On target for the home side was Ian Irvin, while Craig Cook scored four for the Tavern with Kevin McGorie adding the other two.

Tavern will have to wait to see who they meet as the other lastfour clash fell foul of the weather. In the Alan Davison semi- finals, Newbiggin beat Monkseaton Hunting Lodge 3-2 after extra time.
