Summary

THE NCA Tyne & Wear three-day Congress takes place from September 21-23 at the Parks Leisure Centre, Howden Road, North Shields.

Players in the open will be playing for the NCCU Individual Championship and if that wasn't enough motivation, two qualifying places for the 2008 British Championships are also available. The Ian Lambie Major grading limit is 150 and below, while the Nora Hunter Minor attracts people of 120 and below. In all sections the prizes are pounds 250 for first, pounds 100 for second and pounds 50 for third with additional grading prizes. On Sunday there is also a Junior Rapidplay tournament for players under 13 on 01.09.07; lots of prizes and pounds 20 goes to first.
