Summary
LEUKAEMIA patients in the UK who face an early death after suffering a relapse were given new hope by drug regulators. A European licence was granted allowing them to be prescribed the advanced antibody drug MabThera.
Previously the life-extending drug was only licensed for newly- diagnosed patients. The new ruling means all patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) can now qualify for the drug.See the full content of this document
