TORY leader David Cameron insists there is a "very strong case" for sending more British troops to Afghanistan.

Amid reports a US review of the Afghan mission may result in a request for 2,000 more British troops, Mr Cameron stopped short of committing himself to boosting the 9,000-strong UK contingent.
