Summary


TOYS manufactured in Jarrow, South Tyneside, were in demand for a museum exhibition.

Lloyd Edwards, curator of Jarrow's Bede Monastery Museum, put out a call for anyone with links to Jarrow Toys, which supplied high- end shops such as Harrods, to get in touch. The museum had been given the carved toy seen above in a picture taken from the Chronicle archives and dated February 28, 1985, and wanted more to be able to expand the exhibition.
