It is probably not the best of ideas to air a cooking programme on Boxing Day. With tummies still full from turkey dinner and fresh resolutions to eat a balanced diet less than a week away, viewers would be forgiven for turning the channel as soon as the first clove of garlic is sliced. But Jeremy Edwards' first stint as a television chef is going rather well.
