Summary
THERE has been a marked improvement in boat fishing, there are no big fish as yet, but there are still masses of sprats offshore, which is keeping the main shoals of cod with them.
The Amble boats "Warlord" and "Natalie Kristen" had some reasonable catches last weekend with cod to 5lb and some decent sized coalfish, mainly from the Cresswell Skeers area.
