BLYTH Spartans overcame a 1-0 half-time deficit to score four second-half goals to beat nine-men Northern Alliance outfit Heaton Stannington in the Northumberland Senior Cup last night.

Underdogs Heaton had taken a 35th-minute lead through Alan Summers when Joe Wear was sent off six minutes later for a second yellow card, following a foul on Alex Gildea.
