Animal Tests Inquiry Needed

Summary


Animal Aid is dismayed at latest Home Office statistics showing a significant increase in animal experiments. From 2002 to 2003 the number of animals used rose by 59,000. Each year, millions more specially-bred animals are killed, unaccounted for, simply because they are surplus to requirements.

This is no way to reward the many of us who have protested peacefully against vivisection for decades. Instead, the Government would do well to launch a public inquiry into the questionable scientific validity of animal testing.
