Fish of the week was a 14lb 1oz rainbow caught by Brian Lowther of Stanley, who also landed an 11lb 8oz rainbow. Harry Oakley from Blaydon bagged one of 13lb 6oz, while T Hakin of Cramlington took a 12lb rainbow. T Robson of Dunston caught a 10lb rainbow and, on the worming lake, D O'Connell netted four good fish for 13lb 4oz.

Stanley angler Nigel Seccombe took the fish of the week, weighing 15lb and taken on a Black Buzzer. Wayne Dent landed 20 fish to 12lb for his visit, as did Mr Mitchell of Eaglescliffe, who took one of 13lb. Anglers are averaging six fish per visit.

In all, 105 anglers caught 532 trout, with browns to 5lb and rainbows and blues to 4lb....
