TRAFFIC ground to a halt as a new life-saving service touched down in Tyneside for the first time.
The Great North Air Ambulance launched its new helicopter by swooping over the Tyne and landing at HMS Calliope, on Gateshead's Quayside, yesterday. The state-of-the-art chopper, named the Guardian of the North, has been declared a "flying intensive care unit".See the full content of this document
