Tweeting Joey Outrages Fans

HUNDREDS of Toon fans have turned their backs on Joey Barton for good after his foul-mouthed rant at Alan Shearer. The former Newcastle number nine and Match of the Day pundit found himself the target of abuse after slamming Barton's red-card assault on opposition players.

Seats Back On Agenda for Fans

NEWCASTLE have fans on waiting lists for seats at St James' Park for the first time since 2000. Existing season ticket holders have until May 31 to renew their seats and the club is now taking names on waiting lists for the most popular areas of the ground, including the Family Area, the East Stand and the South East Corner.

Cisse Wonder Goal Hailed Best

PAPISS Cisse's wonder strike against Chelsea has been hailed as the best goal of the season. The Toon striker defied physics with his incredible swerving effort from 35 yards and a bizarre angle to defy Peter Cech.

And Helped Banish Play-Off Blues

By Easter Monday we'd crept into second place with a 3-0 win over Stoke - only to drop points at Plymouth to slip out of them again. Going into the last home game of the season we needed a win over West Ham, which we got as I scored to knock my own teammate Mark McGhee out of the way!

Clown of the Week

JOEY BARTON just edges it ahead of all of the Sunderland players against Man United. Everybody in a red-andwhite shirt rolled over for Man U and it was a pathetic performance.

Joey Isn't a Twit Real Life

I KNOW Joey Barton well enough to say that he is an intelligent and likeable lad. But unfortunately the way he projects himself on Twitter makes him look childish and is always going to attract trouble.

Seaside Squad Secures a Treble

IT HAS been some season for Amble United. The Seasiders completed a unique treble as they beat Newcastle United after extra time in the Division One Subsidiary Cup final.

Celebration Is Red Hot for Heaton!

HEATON Stannington popped the corks as they became Alliance champions for the first time in their long history. The black and whites lifted the silverware after a 3-2 success at Shankhouse - and lit the blue touch-paper for the champagne celebrations. Derek Thompson's side went into their final game knowing just a point would give them the honours.

Hexham Celebrate

HEXHAM will be presented with the Division Two trophy this weekend when they take on Northbank. Their 3-0 win at Wallsend Boys Club gave the town its first silverware since Hexham Hearts won the Alliance in 1948.

Premier Success Is Just a D-Reem

SCORING 21 goals in your final game to secure the title is a feat not even Manchester City are likely to match! However, Reem secured the inaugural Premiership crown doing just that, and in ruthless fashion - pipping Shaktar to top spot by a better goal difference of five.

Queens Crown a Top Season with a Double

WINLATON The Queens Head completed a memorable double by seeing off Heaton Rifles 3-1 to claim the North East Amateur Challenge Shield at Dunston. Having lost last year's final 4-3 to Blyth Isabella while playing as Blaydon Huntsman, Queens set off like a train.

Saints Just Miss Out in Bid for a League Cup Success

SAINT Oswalds Newcastle lost out on a place in the final of the League Cup. The Tynesiders lost 5-3 to Tees Valley Community Church in a match which went to extra time.

Toon Boss Delighted to Have the Respect of Supporters

ALAN PARDEW feels he has won the "respect" of the Toon Army in his first full season as manager of Newcastle. The United boss has become the first Magpies chief to complete a 38-game Premier League season since Sir Bobby Robson did so in 2004.

We'll Get Stronger

ALAN PARDEW is confident that Newcastle United fans will still have a team to be "proud of" next season. Pardew - who last night won the LMA Manager of the Year award - is all but resigned to losing one of his top stars this summer, with Cheick Tiote and Demba Ba on the wish-list of a clutch of clubs at home and abroad.

Classy Krul Clinches My Top Spot Over Colo

IT'S been a fantastic season for Newcastle United with a fifth- place finish and a manager of the year award for Alan Pardew. So here are my awards for the 2011/12 season.

Build On Season with New Players

THE final whistle for the season has only just sounded - but already myself and a few Newcastle United fans are fearing an exodus at St James' Park. Don't get me wrong, it's been a magnificent season for United and for manager of the year Alan Pardew. Fifth place is something they can really build on.

Aguero Style Restored My Faith in Fairytale Football -

CAN I just say a big thank you for Manchester City for vindicating my football logic and showing that it is still working properly. Let me tell you about how I spent Sunday.

I'm Young and I've Set Myself a Goal - I Want Eight to 10 World Titles

YOU could say he's a lucky guy - Adrian Lewis has been the world champion of darts for the last two years, which these days guarantees big bucks, and he's still only just 27 years of age. In fact it would be fair to argue that he's very lucky because, visiting the world's gambling capital Las Vegas with his darts in pocket, Lewis actually scooped a $72,000 jackpot on the slot machines.
